Pythagorean Theorem
To be able to do this you have to know the basics of exponents and triangles.
Step ONe
The Equation for the pythagorean theorem is A^2+B^2=C^2. You need to figure out the hypothenuse or c. In most equations A & B are given to you so you input the values for sides A & B.
Step two
Next you need to solve for C^2.
Step Three
Now that you solved for C^2 you need to square root it so you can get the length of side C or the hypothenuse.
Step four
The answer you get for side C is your final answer! congrats your done.
If you are not given A or B
If you have an equation where you are given C but not A/B the equation is:
C^2-A^2 (or B^2 if you are not given B)= B^2 (or A^2 if you are not given A)
then just solve the same way
C^2-A^2 (or B^2 if you are not given B)= B^2 (or A^2 if you are not given A)
then just solve the same way
